When I was younger, I predominantly read science fiction and fantasy. I have read classic books and have a soft spot for Shakespeare. However, I always come back to the fantasy genre, in it’s many forms.
I have spent countless hours reading, watching and absorbing content created by independent and traditionally published authors, and one thing that has stuck with me throughout, has been the fantastic worlds that they create. I love to immerse myself in those worlds, but for me, something was lacking. I was a visitor and I wanted to be the architect.
This is the driving force behind the creation of Shard. This world has been in my head and in writings and artwork for over twenty years, and I decided it was time to put these stories and characters into a cohesive set of books, as their story needs to be told.
